Music Widgets let you display music, artists, albums, playlists, and podcasts directly on your Sitee. YourSitee automatically creates a visual preview using information provided by the original music platform.

Add a Music Widget

Open your Sitee editor

Go to the YourSitee dashboard and open the Sitee you want to edit.

Open the widget menu

Select Add Widget from the editor toolbar.

Choose a music widget

Select Spotify or SoundCloud, then choose the relevant content type.

Paste the URL

Copy the public link to the track, album, playlist, artist, or show and paste it into the widget editor.

Review and save

Confirm that the correct content appears in the preview, then select  Save.

Publish your changes

Publish your Sitee when you are ready to make the widget publicly visible.
Each Music Widget currently requires only the public URL of the content you want to display.
Private, deleted, restricted, or unsupported content may not load correctly. Confirm that the original link opens publicly before adding it to your Sitee.

How the preview works

YourSitee automatically retrieves available information from the original platform. Depending on the widget type, the preview may include:
  • Cover artwork or profile image
  • Track, album, playlist, artist, or show name
  • Artist information
  • Track duration
  • Release year
  • Playlist or album tracks
  • Platform and external-link controls
The available information depends on what Spotify or SoundCloud provides for the selected URL.

Opening the original content

Visitors can use the platform icon or external-link control to open the original content on Spotify or SoundCloud. Music is played through the destination platform and may require the relevant app or account, depending on that platform’s rules.

Changes to the original content

A Music Widget may update or stop displaying correctly if the original content is:
  • Renamed
  • Removed
  • Made private
  • Restricted by region
  • Changed by the creator
  • No longer available through the platform
If a widget stops working, first check whether its original URL still opens publicly.
Music Widget customization is currently limited. At this time, you only need to provide the content URL. We are working on giving these widgets more appearance and customization options in the future.
