Basic information

Title

The title is the main text visitors see on the widget. Use a short and descriptive title, such as:
  • My Portfolio
  • Latest YouTube Video
  • Visit Our Website

URL

Enter the complete destination address, including https://. For example: https://yoursit.ee Use the preview at the top of the editor to confirm that the link and its visual settings appear correctly.

Customize the appearance

The Link Widget includes three main visual controls: Appearance, Style, and Thumbnail.

Appearance

  • Default uses the standard Link Widget layout.
  • Thumbnail gives more visual emphasis to the selected favicon, icon, or image.
  • Button displays the link in a smaller, simplified button-style layout.

Style

  • Simple hides the destination URL for a cleaner appearance.
  • Detailed displays the destination URL below the title.

Thumbnail

  • None displays no visual.
  • Favicon automatically uses the favicon provided by the destination website.
  • Icon lets you choose from icons provided by YourSitee.
  • Image lets you upload your own thumbnail image.
Use Favicon or Icon for compact, recognizable links. Use Image when a custom visual helps explain or promote the destination.

Description

Available on Pro plan A description is a short supporting text that provides additional context about the destination. You can use it to explain:
  • What visitors will find after opening the link
  • What an article, video, product, or page is about
  • Why the destination may be useful
  • What action you want visitors to take
The Description field is available directly in the Link Widget editor. Keep descriptions short so your Sitee remains easy to scan.

Sensitive content

Enable NSFW content when the destination contains lawful adult or other sensitive material that requires a warning. When visitors select the link, YourSitee displays a confirmation screen before redirecting them.
The visible parts of your Sitee must remain suitable for a general audience. The widget title, description, Favicon, icon, thumbnail, and uploaded image cannot contain nudity or other NSFW media, even when the label is enabled.
The label does not make prohibited or illegal content acceptable. Review the NSFW Policies before linking to sensitive material.

Mark as sponsored

Available on Pro plan Enable Mark sponsored when the link is connected to:
  • An affiliate partnership
  • A paid promotion
  • A sponsored placement
  • A gifted product or service
  • Another commercial relationship
You can enable this option from the Link Widget editor. It is also available from the widget’s context menu. The Sponsored Content label appears directly on the widget and does not interrupt visitors with a warning screen. Learn more in the Guide to Content Labels. Available on Pro plan Spotlight visually emphasizes one important widget on your Sitee. You can enable Spotlight from the Link Widget editor or the widget’s context menu. It can be useful for:
  • A newly published video or article
  • An important announcement
  • Your primary call to action
  • A limited-time campaign
  • Your most important external destination
Only one widget can be spotlighted on a Sitee at a time. Spotlighting another widget will replace the current selection.

Save and publish

Select Save to store the Link Widget in your editor. Publish your changes when you are ready to make the new or updated widget visible on your public Sitee.
Some external destinations may display an additional safety warning before visitors continue. This helps protect users when a link is not yet recognized as a trusted destination.
