# Feature Requests

Have an idea that could make YourSitee better? Share it in the **#suggestions** forum on our official Discord server.

## Review existing suggestions first

Before creating a new post, browse the existing suggestions and search for ideas similar to yours.

When you find a relevant post:

* Vote or react to show whether the feature would be useful to you
* Explain why you support or disagree with the idea
* Add your own use case, concerns, or suggested improvements
* Share an alternative approach when you have one

Adding your perspective to an existing discussion is usually more useful than creating a duplicate post. It also helps our team understand how many people would benefit and how they would use the feature.

## Submit a feature request

  <Step title="Check for similar ideas">
    Search and review existing posts before creating a new suggestion. If your idea already exists, vote and contribute to that discussion instead.

  <Step title="Create a new post">
    Select **New Post** and use a clear title that briefly explains the feature or improvement you are suggesting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the most relevant tag">
    Select the tag that best matches your request so the discussion can be categorized and found more easily.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Explain your idea">
    Describe the problem, how your proposed solution would work, and why it would be useful. Include specific examples or use cases whenever possible.

  <Step title="Add a visual example">
    Attach a sketch, mockup, screenshot, short video, or example from another product when it helps explain your idea.

  **We especially appreciate visual explanations.** Even a simple sketch or annotated screenshot can make a suggestion significantly easier to understand and evaluate. :)

## Join the discussion

The suggestions forum is **not only for creating new posts**. We strongly encourage you to participate in discussions started by other members.

Tell us:

* Whether the proposed feature would be useful to you
* How you would personally use it
* What you would change about the proposal
* What problems or edge cases we should consider
* Whether you have a different idea that could solve the same problem

Keep discussions constructive and follow our Discord rules and [Community Standards](https://yoursit.ee/standards).

## How our team uses suggestions

Members of the YourSitee team **regularly read the suggestions** forum and follow ongoing discussions.

You may also see team members:

* Ask questions about a proposal
* Share their personal perspective
* Explain the company’s current position
* Discuss technical or product limitations
* Comment on whether an idea is being considered

  Community interest helps inform our decisions, but votes do not guarantee that a feature will be developed. Priorities may also depend on feasibility, security, maintenance, product direction, and available resources.
