# What is your username

Your username is the unique name connected to your YourSitee account. It appears in your public YourSitee URL after `https://yoursit.ee/`.

**Example:**

* **Username:** `@username`

* **YourSitee URL:** `https://yoursit.ee/username`

## Username vs. display name

Your **username** is used in your public URL and helps identify your account.

Your **display name** is the name visitors see on your Sitee. It does not have to match your username.

  **Changing your username also changes your public YourSitee link.** Remember to update the URL anywhere you previously shared it.
